About The Position

As a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer, Information System Security Officer (ISSO), you will play a key role in securing complex systems, ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity frameworks, and protecting sensitive information. Possession of DoD 8570 IAM Level 1 or higher certification is required. Candidates must have an active TS/SCI with a Full Scope Polygraph security clearance. This is a 100% Onsite position and not open for Hybrid and/or Remote.

Requirements

Must have an active TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph security clearance.
Possession of a DoD 8570 IAM Level 1 or higher certification is required and will be verified as part of the interview or offer process.
Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. 5 years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
10 years of experience as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) Systems Engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
At least one of the following areas: knowledge of current security tools, hardware/software security implementation; communication protocols; and encryption techniques/tools.

Responsibilities

Serve as the Information Systems Security Approval Authority for systems under your control.
Provide technical and compliance support for the organization’s Information Assurance (IA) program.
Plan, coordinate, and enforce IT security programs across various systems and projects.
Maintain the operational security posture for mission-critical information systems.
Develop and enforce information system security policies, standards, and methodologies.
Support day-to-day security operations, including system monitoring and incident response.
Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments to support system Certification And Accreditation (C&A).
Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet requirements for handling classified data.
Manage system configuration, changes, and security impact assessments.
Prepare and review key documentation including System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification & Accreditation (C&A) packages, and Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM).
