About The Position

9th Way Insignia is seeking a Cybersecurity Systems Architect to support the Department of Veterans Affairs Cybersecurity Operations and Services Enterprise (COSE) program. This program delivers enterprise cybersecurity operations, engineering, architecture, risk, and compliance support to safeguard VA systems, data, and mission delivery, strengthening the cyber resilience of digital services relied on by Veterans, their families, and the VA workforce. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Eight or more years of systems engineering, integration architecture, software architecture, or enterprise application integration experience.
Demonstrated experience with APIs, integration patterns, data flows, cloud or hybrid architectures, and secure system design.
Experience translating business and technical requirements into implementable architecture and interface specifications.
Strong architecture documentation, analysis, and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design system and integration architectures for secure data exchange, APIs, applications, platforms, and operational services.
Define interface patterns, system requirements, data flows, integration standards, and implementation guidance.
Evaluate architecture alternatives for security, scalability, reliability, performance, and operational supportability.
Coordinate with architects, developers, cybersecurity engineers, and business stakeholders during design and delivery.
Produce architecture diagrams, interface specifications, integration plans, and technical decision records.
