About The Position

LCRA is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst II to support daily Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, including security monitoring, alert analysis, incident investigation, documentation, and remediation efforts. In this role, you will contribute to the execution of LCRA’s cybersecurity strategy by implementing, operating, and maintaining security technologies and controls across the enterprise. You will monitor emerging cybersecurity threats, technology trends, and regulatory requirements; deploy and manage security solutions such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, perimeter security, and continuous monitoring platforms; and provide subject matter expertise to strengthen LCRA’s overall security posture. Requirements

  • Six or more years of experience in cybersecurity or relevant experience.
  • A degree(s) in information technology, computer science or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
  • Driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats, incidents, malware, spam, vulnerabilities, and other security events across the enterprise.
  • Proactively assess and hunt for emerging threats and risks while maintaining the effectiveness of security monitoring and detection capabilities.
  • Design, implement, administer, and support cybersecurity technologies, including SIEM, vulnerability assessment tools, IDS/IPS, antivirus, email/web security, and firewalls.
  • Plan and execute cybersecurity projects, provide technical security consulting, and support business units in meeting cybersecurity requirements.
  • Develop, document, review, and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, guidelines, and compliance-related evidence.
  • Support regulatory compliance initiatives, including NERC CIP and other applicable standards, through audits, documentation, field activities, and coordination with management on cybersecurity concerns and incidents.
