  • Five years of experience deploying, configuring, and managing modern stateful and next-generation firewalls, including App-ID, User-ID, Content-ID (IPS/IDS, malware prevention, and URL filtering), and security/NAT policies.
  • Five years of experience deploying and managing Palo Alto next-generation firewalls, including hardware and virtual series such as PA-5400s and PA-7080s.
  • Five years of experience managing legacy environments such as Juniper SRX 5400, Cisco ASA, and Netscreens.
  • Five years of experience managing large-scale enterprise advanced routing frameworks, including SD-WAN hub-and-spoke setups via Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Five years of experience managing external routing, including autonomous systems, route filtering, prefix lists, and path manipulation.
  • Five years of experience designing and troubleshooting site-to-site IPsec and remote-access SSL/TLS VPN tunnels, including GlobalProtect and AnyConnect, across multiple data center platforms.
  • Five years of experience managing Palo Alto firewalls with Panorama 11.0, including configuration templates, Device Groups, log aggregation, and coordinated firmware/software upgrades.
  • Five years of experience with PAN-OS features, web interface changes, and advanced routing engine capabilities.
  • Five years of experience with advanced log management, including forwarding Syslog data to Splunk, writing SPL queries, tracking traffic patterns, and building alerts.
  • Five years of experience with business intelligence and reporting for network and security data, including dashboards for bandwidth utilization, threat metrics, or compliance reporting.
  • Five years of deep packet inspection experience, including capturing and analyzing PCAP files, filtering TCP/UDP headers, analyzing three-way handshakes, identifying asymmetric routing, and locating connection drops or latency.

Responsibilities

  • Design automation workflows and capabilities for data collection, investigation, and incident response.
  • Develop threat-hunting and data-analysis strategy and capabilities.
  • Identify and propose technologies, methodologies, and approaches for detecting malicious activity.
  • Use indicators to scope and proactively respond to emerging threats.
