About The Position

Our growing client in the Saratoga Springs, NY area is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to support and secure its IT infrastructure across both office and manufacturing environments. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career cybersecurity professional looking to gain hands-on experience with security operations, systems administration, network support, and compliance initiatives in a highly regulated environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required
  • 1-3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, systems administration, or cybersecurity support roles
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and cybersecurity fundamentals
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or production environments
  • Exposure to cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST or CMMC
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+
  • Experience with vulnerability management, endpoint protection, and security monitoring tools
  • Interest in growing within cybersecurity, infrastructure, and network administration disciplines

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security alerts, SIEM dashboards, and cybersecurity monitoring tools
  • Review antivirus, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and firewall alerts
  • Perform vulnerability scans, analyze results, and assist with remediation efforts
  • Support cybersecurity compliance activities and routine security verification tasks
  • Assist with maintaining secure system configurations and implementing security updates
  • Support IT asset management, inventory tracking, and technical documentation efforts
  • Create and maintain work instructions and procedural documentation
  • Provide technical support to users across office and manufacturing environments
  • Assist with workstation deployment, hardware installation, software configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Support network, server, and endpoint maintenance activities
  • Participate in cybersecurity and IT process improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maintain reliable and secure technology operations
