About The Position

Mission Wealth is seeking a growth-minded Cybersecurity Specialist to join their award-winning team. This role is for a hands-on cybersecurity professional with experience supporting security operations and technical controls in a regulated environment. The ideal candidate is curious, organized, and comfortable investigating alerts, logs, and technical issues, understanding the importance of documentation, follow-through, and collaboration. Requirements

3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, security operations, or a related technical role
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Experience reviewing security alerts, logs, authentication activity and endpoint events
Working knowledge of incident response, vulnerability management, identity and access management and endpoint protection
Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Microsoft security technologies such as Intune, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365 or Defender for Cloud Apps and Purview
Experience with identity security concepts such as MFA, Conditional Access, privileged access, risky sign-ins, SSO, and access reviews
Experience with SIEM, centralized logging, audit logging, or security monitoring platforms
General IT support experience with the ability to troubleshoot common endpoint, access, Microsoft 365, and connectivity issues
Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework or CIS Controls
Experience documenting cybersecurity controls, investigations, and remediation activity
Experience working with an outsourced MSP, MSSP or other third-party technology provider preferred
Experience in financial services, wealth management, or another regulated industry preferred
Cybersecurity certifications such as Security+, CySA+, SSCP, CISSP, or Microsoft Security certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

Support the Senior IT Manager in managing and continuously improving Mission Wealth’s cybersecurity program
Help build, maintain and manage the firm’s cybersecurity audit logging, monitoring and evidence-tracking processes
Monitor security alerts, authentication activity, endpoint events and system logs and investigate unusual or suspicious activity
Support incident response, vulnerability remediation, access reviews and other recurring cybersecurity activities
Maintain documentation and supporting evidence for cybersecurity controls, audits, assessments and SEC regulatory examinations
Assist with policy, procedure, and runbook documentation for incident response, access management, endpoint security, and vendor access governance.
Work with Microsoft security tools including Intune, Defender, Entra ID, Conditional Access and other Microsoft 365 security capabilities
Support device compliance, maintain endpoint security baselines and provide endpoint protection monitoring
Review Entra ID sign-in activity, MFA/Conditional Access events, risky users, privileged access activity, and identity-related security alerts
Assist with SaaS application access reviews, admin role reviews, vendor access reviews, and documentation of permission changes.
Track cybersecurity findings, remediation items and recurring reviews through completion
Help maintain cybersecurity dashboards, recurring reports, evidence repositories, security findings, remediation tracking, and audit support materials.
Work closely with Mission Wealth’s outsourced Managed Service Provider (MSP) and other security vendors on alerts, patching, endpoint protection, access issues and technical escalations
Help maintain clear ownership and accountability between internal Technology resources, the MSP and outside security partners
Support phishing prevention, employee security awareness and cybersecurity training initiatives
Assist the broader Technology Team with general technical support/troubleshooting by providing general technology support to employees as needed, including troubleshooting hardware, software, access and connectivity issues
Identify opportunities to improve and automate security monitoring, reporting and documentation
Work closely with IT, Compliance, external cybersecurity partners and technology vendors
