About The Position

Echo Lake Foods is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Specialist with Network Engineering experience to protect and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, networks, systems, and data. This role combines cybersecurity operations with hands-on network engineering responsibilities to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, implementing, monitoring, and securing network infrastructure while proactively identifying and mitigating cybersecurity risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity and/or network engineering roles.
  • Strong knowledge of: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN technologies, Network protocols and architecture.
  • Experience with firewalls such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, or SonicWall.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, and cloud security practices.
  • Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service orientation

Nice To Haves

  • Industry certifications such as: CISSP, Security+, CCNA, CCNP, Azure Security Engineer Associate
  • Experience with: SIEM platforms, Endpoint protection solutions, PowerShell or Python scripting, Virtualization technologies, Compliance standards (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOX, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents, alerts, and threats.
  • Administer and maintain security tools including: Firewalls, Endpoint detection and response (EDR), SIEM platforms, Email security solutions, MFA and identity management systems.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts.
  • Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Perform security audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
  • Investigate suspicious activity and assist with incident response and forensic analysis.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 and Azure security configurations, including Defender and Conditional Access policies.
  • Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies.
  • Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, and cloud networking environments.
  • Troubleshoot network performance, outages, and connectivity issues.
  • Configure and support: Switches, Routers, Firewalls, VLANs, SD-WAN.
  • Monitor network health, bandwidth utilization, and system availability.
  • Implement secure network segmentation and access controls.
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and vendors for infrastructure upgrades and implementations.
