About The Position

Echo Lake Foods is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Specialist with Network Engineering experience to protect and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, networks, systems, and data. This role combines cybersecurity operations with hands-on network engineering responsibilities to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, implementing, monitoring, and securing network infrastructure while proactively identifying and mitigating cybersecurity risks.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in cybersecurity and/or network engineering roles.
Strong knowledge of: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN technologies, Network protocols and architecture.
Experience with firewalls such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, or SonicWall.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, and cloud security practices.
Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong customer service orientation

Nice To Haves

Industry certifications such as: CISSP, Security+, CCNA, CCNP, Azure Security Engineer Associate
Experience with: SIEM platforms, Endpoint protection solutions, PowerShell or Python scripting, Virtualization technologies, Compliance standards (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOX, etc.)

Responsibilities

Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents, alerts, and threats.
Administer and maintain security tools including: Firewalls, Endpoint detection and response (EDR), SIEM platforms, Email security solutions, MFA and identity management systems.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts.
Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices.
Perform security audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
Investigate suspicious activity and assist with incident response and forensic analysis.
Manage Microsoft 365 and Azure security configurations, including Defender and Conditional Access policies.
Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies.
Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, and cloud networking environments.
Troubleshoot network performance, outages, and connectivity issues.
Configure and support: Switches, Routers, Firewalls, VLANs, SD-WAN.
Monitor network health, bandwidth utilization, and system availability.
Implement secure network segmentation and access controls.
Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
Collaborate with IT teams and vendors for infrastructure upgrades and implementations.
