About The Position

This role focuses on shaping and maintaining a secure cyber environment by applying cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices across enclave systems and operations. The specialist will support the security and performance of mission-critical systems through hands-on monitoring, troubleshooting, testing, and resolution of hardware and software IA issues. The position involves driving cybersecurity initiatives by leveraging technical expertise and sound judgment to identify risks, recommend solutions, and accomplish enclave security objectives. The role also includes serving as a technical leader and trusted resource to junior team members, providing guidance, knowledge sharing, and mentorship in a collaborative environment. Additionally, the specialist will partner directly with government and internal stakeholders, both remotely and onsite, to deliver assessments, provide strategic recommendations, and support evolving mission needs. Some travel is expected for this position, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a STEM and/or Cyber-related field or equivalent from an accredited institution and five (5) years of Cyber technical experience.
  • Acceptable alternative: Bachelor's degree in a STEM and/or Cyber-related field with eight (8) years of DoD cyber technical experience and knowledge demonstrated in missile defense related or other complex, large DoD Programs/Projects.
  • Must meet DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III certification requirements in order to be considered.
  • An Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
  • Possess, or be able to obtain, a technical certification or three (3) years’ experience with McAfee Endpoint Security, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Splunk, and/or implementing network, enclave, or system security toolsets, including reviewing technical assessment reports and prioritizing corrective actions.
  • If not already certified, required tool certification(s) must be obtained within six (6) months of position acceptance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for most positions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in technical review / management / assessment of Software, Cloud, Firewalls, Network Defense, Ports, Protocols, and Services Management, and / or DevSecOps.
  • Prior experience supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) is highly desired.
  • Proven ability to work independently to solve problems quickly and completely.
