About The Position

NikSoft is seeking an AI/ML Solutions Architect/Engineer to support the United States Postal Service’s Cybersecurity program. The role operates in a large-scale enterprise environment with more than 800 IT systems, tens of thousands of servers and desktop devices, billions of dollars in annual revenue, and users across the United States.

The position applies AI/ML and data science to identify cybersecurity threats and fraud, develop analytics, investigate stakeholder concerns, and help improve systems and processes. It also involves designing AI-powered solutions and directing specialized teams across secure environments and multiple engagements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an IT or Cybersecurity discipline.
• 10+ years of overall IT experience with a heavy focus on cybersecurity.
• Expertise in data science and AI/ML concepts used for fraud detection.
• Demonstrated expertise in AI/ML solution development, data science practice, data strategy and governance, and customer and stakeholder engagement, developed through many years of client work delivering solutions.
• Advanced skills applying AI/ML tools to accelerate business activities, including programming and script development.
• Expert-level knowledge of AI/ML solution architecture; data science and advanced analytics; technology strategy and implementation; data strategy and governance; MLOps and model lifecycle management; Azure Databricks; and Python, SQL, and R development.
• Must be able to obtain a Postal Sensitive Clearance; U.S. citizenship or a Green Card is required.
• Must not have traveled outside the United States for a combined period exceeding six months within the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Apply expert-level AI/ML analytic approaches to large volumes of data from disparate sources to uncover cybersecurity threats and fraud schemes.
• Use Databricks, Python, SQL, and R to develop analytic solutions and create, interpret, visualize, and report on complex data for stakeholders at all levels.
• Respond to ad hoc stakeholder requests to investigate concerns.
• Work across business units to identify, collect, aggregate, and analyze new data sources, advance the team's mission, and reduce the time required to deliver analytical insights.
• Identify and analyze gaps in USPS systems and processes and recommend remediation solutions to deter cybersecurity threats and fraudulent activity.
• Design AI-powered solutions that integrate large language models, computer vision, and advanced analytics into secure, high-performing environments.
• Direct specialized teams of data scientists, data engineers, and business intelligence specialists delivering AI and advanced technology solutions across secure environments.
• Manage delivery across multiple engagements in areas including business intelligence, technology and tradecraft, financial operations, workforce analytics, cyber, artificial intelligence, risk management, and product development.
