About The Position

This role focuses on system security engineering to support critical missions for the country and clients. The Cybersecurity Software Engineer will ensure security requirements are integrated into the system through design, development, and configuration. Responsibilities include coordinating changes with the Information System Security Manager (ISSM), implementing and enforcing DoD cybersecurity policies, and managing systems to maintain security posture and achieve IATO/ATO. The position involves supporting DoD and military clients with cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions, including technical implementations, RMF, and policy analysis. The engineer will assist in developing solutions for complex hybrid systems from a cybersecurity perspective, working with minimal supervision. The team emphasizes mentoring, hands-on problem-solving, learning new tools, and growing together to create optimal customer solutions, specifically focusing on securing critical AI/ML networks.

Requirements

3+ years of experience as a Cybersecurity software engineer
Experience working as an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE), or a role in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or Software Engineer
Experience conducting enterprise vulnerability scanning using security applications such as ACAS, performing risk remediation efforts, conducting security control assessments, and integrating security principles to ensure compliance with DoD directives, and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
Experience with Fortify, AWS, Docker, RHEL, Python, and Java
Experience in engineering, implementation, and hardening robust security solutions, analyze fortify scans, remediate using secure software-development to improve cyber resiliency
Knowledge of the systems and software engineering management process and its implementation, as applied to DoD acquisition processes throughout all life cycle phases
Knowledge of DoD communication, cybersecurity, and IT systems
TS/SCI clearance
Associate's degree and 7+ years with Cybersecurity, Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience with Cybersecurity, or 9+ years of experience in Cybersecurity in lieu of degree
DoD 8140 IAT Level II Certification

Implement infrastructure and cyber security controls, including enhanced detection and vulnerability capabilities and improved event correlation in large enterprises.
Perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas.
Leverage big data analytics and traditional security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.
