About The Position

This role focuses on driving Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance and managing Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) records for SMS/E-SMS systems. The analyst will be responsible for producing and managing Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms), aligning systems (servers, web, databases, virtual machines, applications) to Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), NIST standards, and DoD best practices. The position also involves supporting Assess-Only and Authority to Operate (ATO) paths.

Requirements

• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Demonstrated RMF/eMASS experience for DoD systems.
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs, ACAS/SCAP, NIST 800-53.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Experience with audit support.
• Ability to clearly speak, read, and write in the English language.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Must pass and maintain a National Agency Check Investigation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain RMF artifacts and eMASS entries.
• Document findings, vulnerabilities, and implementation decisions per STIGs, NIST, and Cyber.mil guidance.
• Create and track POA&Ms within five business days of incident discovery.
• Report status in monthly deliverables.
• Provide input on contingency plans, off-site backup/recovery, and CCB processes.
• Coordinate with System Operations and development teams.
