About The Position

LCRA is seeking a Cybersecurity Risk Analyst II to play an integral role in supporting our cybersecurity, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) and Business Integration efforts. You will evaluate cyber risks, recognize potential threats, and ensure the organization follows rigorous cybersecurity protocols and regulations. This position is key to maintaining the security of our information systems and fostering an excellent cybersecurity environment. Requirements

• Six or more years of experience in cybersecurity risk or relevant experience.
• A degree(s) in information technology, computer science or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
• Driver's license

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with technology hardware and software platforms and systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Understanding of complex systems across diverse technical platforms
• Knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as NIST CSF, NIST Special Publication 800-53, NERC-CIP
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment by building relationships and fostering teamwork
• CISSP, GIAC, or similar certification

Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed risk analyses by assessing potential hazards to our information systems
• Assist in regulatory and guideline-based assessments to ensure adherence to cybersecurity standards
• Communicate and negotiate cybersecurity concerns, requirements, and expectations with customers, peers, and vendors
• Contribute to ongoing governance, risk management, and compliance activities, including vendor and product assessments, vulnerability scanning, and policy reviews
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation of cybersecurity risks and mitigation strategies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully implement security measures and improve our security posture
