About The Position

As an information security risk specialist on our team, you’ll use your experience to work with specific enterprises to discover their cyber risks, understand applicable policies, and develop a mitigation plan. You’ll review technical and personnel details from SMEs to assess the entire threat landscape. Then, you’ll guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and milestones. You’ll work with your client to translate security concepts, so they can make the best decisions to secure their mission-critical systems. Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in services for the Federal government or Federal advising within a professional work environment
  • Experience drafting executive or senior-level correspondence or material to support decision-making
  • Experience in the cybersecurity or information assurance field and the ability to demonstrate an operational understanding of the Department of War cybersecurity program
  • Experience supporting Federal organizations, including performing Action Officer duties and utilizing staffing processes or tools
  • Experience facilitating meetings such as working groups or conferences and associated pre and post meeting activities including agenda development and meeting minutes
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) system
  • Experience drafting technical documents, including technical policies and strategies, at the organization level
  • Experience with NIST SP 800 series publications such as 800-37, 800-53, 800-171, 800-171A, 800-172
  • Experience with intelligence analysis or risk analysis including assessing threats, vulnerabilities, and operational impacts in support of decision-making processes
  • Ability to effectively apply NIST SP 800 series publication concepts and requirements in both technical and strategic discussions
  • Possession of strong verbal and written communication skills as well as organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
