Cybersecurity Production Support Engineer - Hybrid
About The Position
Genesis10 is seeking a Cybersecurity Production Support Engineer for a hybrid role with a Global Financial Institution. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity where you will be part of a Production Services team responsible for end-to-end, client-facing infrastructure support. The ideal candidate will manage and optimize SIEM/SOAR platforms, primarily Splunk, for advanced threat detection, automation, and incident response. This role involves collaborating with IT teams to build detection rules, automation playbooks, and dashboards to strengthen the security posture in a fast-paced FinTech environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Cybersecurity Production Support or Security Operations experience
- Strong experience supporting critical production environments
- Expertise in incident management, problem management, and change/release management
- Experience working in 24x7 operational environments
- Mid-level experience in SIEM/SOAR administration and security operations
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Splunk (searches, dashboards, alerts, playbooks)
- 5+ years of production support experience with MFA technologies, Splunk, Window OS, SQL/Oracle DB, and Unix/Linux
- Excellent knowledge of Identity, Authentication and Access Management (IAM) domain
- Expert level of Linux experience and well-versed in Splunk queries
- Well-versed with ITIL framework
- Must be available for on-call coverage and willing to work off-hours as needed
- Must be willing to work on-site 3 days a week
- Excellent communication skills
Nice To Haves
- CISSP or other equivalent Information Security domain certifications
- Experience with Tower or BladeLogic
- Strong understanding of network technologies
Responsibilities
- Monitor, respond to, and manage incidents to restore services and identify root cause
- Manage, configure, and optimize SIEM/SOAR platforms, primarily Splunk
- Develop detection rules, dashboards, and automation playbooks
- Monitor and analyze security events to identify threats and reduce response times
- Resolve high-priority cybersecurity incidents and conduct post-incident reviews
- Coordinate cross-functional teams during production outages
- Lead critical outages and recover services quickly
