About The Position

The Cybersecurity Lead will provide the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board (DNFSB) support and implement all phases of the Risk Management Framework (RMF). Responsibilities include ensuring information systems maintain an appropriate level of confidentiality, integrity, authentication, non-repudiation, and availability. This involves balancing the importance and sensitivity of information, documented threats and vulnerabilities, user trustworthiness, the impact of system impairment, and cost-effectiveness. The role requires providing daily Assessment and Authorization (A&A) updates via an internal cybersecurity portal and weekly activity reports. The Lead will assist the Package Submitting Office (PSO) with assessment packages in the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) system, and plan, coordinate, and submit accreditation documentation for mission and support software/applications. This includes coordinating and conducting server, application, and code scans, collecting data for reporting and IA management, and attending test events, cyber tabletops, and contractor reviews. The position facilitates activities such as Cybersecurity, Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM), Airworthiness, Safety, and Net-worthiness. Additionally, the Lead will assist in documenting Cyber Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) to align with Program IMS, designate and develop cyber baselines and tests, create documentaries for Authority to Operate (ATOs), plan for cybersecurity protections, and provide oversight. The role involves developing ATOs and IATTs focused on various program elements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a similar Information Technology Field.
  • 7 years of experience in cybersecurity operations.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Certified Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board (DNFSB) support and implement all phases of the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Ensure information systems maintain an appropriate level of confidentiality, integrity, authentication, non-repudiation, and availability.
  • Provide daily Assessment and Authorization (A&A) updates through the use of the internal cybersecurity portal, as well as weekly activity report documentation.
  • Assist the Package Submitting Office (PSO) with assessment packages entered into the required A&A processing system (currently the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)).
  • Plan, coordinate, and submit accreditation documentation requirements for mission and support software/applications as required.
  • Coordinate/conduct server, application, and code scans (per Army CSSP and host platform requirements).
  • Collect data to support reporting and IA management activities across the investment life cycle.
  • Attend and assist in test events, cyber tabletops, and contractor reviews.
  • Facilitate and support activities such as Cybersecurity, Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM), Airworthiness, Safety, and Net-worthiness.
  • Assist in documenting Cyber Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) to coincide with Program IMS, designate and develop cyber baselines and tests.
  • Create documentaries for Authority to Operate (ATOs) and plan for cybersecurity protections to be implemented and provide oversight.
  • Develop ATOs and IATTs that focus on various elements of the program.
