About The Position

The Cybersecurity Intern will be an active contributor to strategic Identity & Access Management (IAM) and AI Governance & Security initiatives that are scaling across the organization. This role is designed for students seeking hands-on experience in enterprise cybersecurity, with exposure to modern identity architectures, emerging AI security models, and platform optimization efforts that support secure business enablement. Rather than operating in a purely observational capacity, the intern will be embedded in live security programs, working alongside IT Security, Architecture, and Governance stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related program
  • Strong interest in identity security, AI governance, or cybersecurity risk management
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Clear written communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to follow structured processes while identifying opportunities for improvement

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with IAM concepts (SSO, MFA, JIT, passwordless authentication, RBAC)
  • Familiarity with using Generative AI and LLMs as well as Agentic AI, MCP, and Skills-based workflows.
  • Interest or coursework related to AI, data governance, or security governance
  • Exposure to cloud platforms or SaaS environments
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, Excel)
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar tracking/documentation tools

Responsibilities

  • Support IAM modernization efforts, including access reviews, role and entitlement analysis, and lifecycle governance
  • Assist with the implementation and rollout of passwordless authentication, including validation, documentation, and user impact analysis
  • Contribute to Agentic AI identity governance initiatives, supporting the management of non-human, service-based, and autonomous AI identities
  • Participate in improving identity lifecycle workflows (joiner/mover/leaver) and access governance controls
  • Assist in domain-specific IAM platform optimization, including data quality analysis, control tuning, and operational process improvements
  • Develop and refine IAM-related documentation, standards, and operational runbooks
  • Support the AI use case intake, review, and tracking process, ensuring alignment with security, privacy, and governance requirements
  • Assist with evaluating AI initiatives for identity, data access, and security risk considerations
  • Contribute to documentation of AI security guardrails, acceptable use guidance, and control mappings
  • Participate in domain-specific AI governance platform optimization, helping ensure tools and workflows are scalable, consistent, and auditable
  • Collaborate across Security, IT, Architecture, Legal, and Product stakeholders on AI-related risk and governance reviews
  • Create and maintain security documentation, including standards, process flows, and internal guidance
  • Assist in maintaining program trackers, metrics, and reporting artifacts related to IAM and AI governance
  • Support preparation of materials for internal reviews, audits, and leadership reporting
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on operational clarity, scalability, and governance maturity
