About The Position

EMC is hiring a paid summer intern to work with its information technology security teams: Identity and Access Management (IAM), Technology Assurance Services (TAS), and Cybersecurity Operations and Engineering (CSOE). The intern will collaborate with other IT departments to help ensure projects and enhancements meet EMC security policies, regulations, and standards without adversely affecting the company’s risk posture. The role also supports security reviews, security event response, security tooling administration, audit and assessment tasks, and authentication and authorization solutions. Location preference is the state of Iowa.

Requirements

Analytical ability to identify problems and prepare solutions.
Proficiency in Microsoft productivity tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, or Google counterparts.
Strong communication and human relations skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work with people, organize information, and develop testing strategies.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Strong organizational and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

A degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, MIS, or a related field is preferred.
Completion of freshman year is preferred.
Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher is preferred.
Knowledge of ticketing systems such as Jira and Agile methodology.

Responsibilities

Work with IT departments to ensure projects and enhancements meet EMC security policies, regulations, and standards and do not impact EMC’s risk posture.
Perform tool and vendor security reviews.
Respond to security events.
Perform security tooling administration.
Collaborate with Technology Assurance Services on audit and assessment tasks.
Collaborate with Identity and Access Management on authentication and authorization solutions.
