About The Position

The Cybersecurity / Information Assurance Manager leads cybersecurity strategy and implementation across systems supporting CDAO programs. This role ensures compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements, risk management frameworks, and Zero Trust Architecture initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 12+ years of cybersecurity experience supporting federal or DoD systems.
  • Experience with NIST 800-53, RMF, and Zero Trust Architecture.
  • CISSP, CISM, or equivalent cybersecurity certification.
  • Active Secret security clearance required (or higher).
  • Ability to work on site 5 days a week
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, and experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, and previous customer service experience strongly desired.
  • Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading cybersecurity initiatives for large-scale DoD or Intelligence Community systems, including RMF accreditation, ATO processes, and Zero Trust implementation.
  • Hands-on experience securing cloud and hybrid environments (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, DevSecOps pipelines) while supporting continuous monitoring and vulnerability management activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies supporting mission systems and data platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies, NIST standards, and Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Lead security architecture design supporting Zero Trust initiatives.
  • Oversee system security plans, authorization processes, and vulnerability management activities.
  • Conduct security assessments, risk analysis, and mitigation planning.
  • Coordinate with government security officials to maintain system accreditation.
  • Provide cybersecurity guidance to development and engineering teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.
