Erias Ventures is seeking engineers who wish to grow their careers and want to become part of a strong, entrepreneurial-minded, and technical company focused on bringing innovative solutions to the difficult mission problems facing our customers. This role involves designing and testing new integrated circuits and hardware components for signal processing applications and research. The engineer will design, document, and develop code (including firmware) for digital signal processors or other programmable hardware devices like ASICs and FPGAs. Responsibilities include analyzing existing hardware for reverse engineering, modifying vendor hardware for specific government needs, and assisting with new product design and improvement of existing products. Communication with other engineering personnel is crucial for coordinating design efforts and ensuring project completion. The role also involves conducting design analysis for cost efficiency, manufacturability, and reliability, applying ASIC or FPGA place and route (P&R) tools, and developing documentation for P&R design flows. Additionally, the engineer will work with tool and library vendors, perform de-processing of electronic components to retrieve firmware/software, integrate new P&R tools and libraries into the government's CAD environment, and provide technical leadership to less experienced engineers.
