About The Position

Designs, implements, integrates, and maintains systems and tools to automate complex cyber activities. Applies specific functional knowledge, working or general industry knowledge. Develops or contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with some guidance, may review or guide activities of more junior employees.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with cybersecurity or information security engineering
  • Experience reviewing vulnerability documentation and developing courses of action to remediate findings
  • Experience operating cybersecurity tools, such as Splunk, Tenable, Trellix, or Elastic
  • Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 rev 5 transition requirements and planning of implementation strategies
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in cybersecurity
  • Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients, Federally Funded Research and Developmental Centers (FFRDC), and associate contractor teammates to achieve program goals
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • DoD IAT Level II Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with security tools and devices, including network firewalls, web proxy, intrusion prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, or penetration tools, or object-oriented programming languages, including Java or Python
  • Experience with zero-trust best practices and methodologies
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodologies
  • Ability to conduct security assessments and work cross-functionally with various teams
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
