As a Cybersecurity Vulnerability Engineer II, you will help to protect our patient’s safety and privacy, as well as the continuity of effective delivery of high-quality care. You will leverage multiple tools to identify weaknesses in our internal and internet facing systems by detecting vulnerabilities, missing patches, and misconfigurations that expose Banners systems to potential exploits. You will work with system owners to drive remediation plans, communicate information to stakeholders through dashboards and reporting, and review exception requests for threat and risk. The typical schedule for this role is Monday-Friday 8a-5p with limited schedule flexibility and on-call rotation. This is the primary engineering role supporting the Vulnerability Management team and its infrastructure. The location for this role will be remote, with occasional travel up to 10%. An ideal candidate will have a Bachelors Degree with 4+ years of related experience. Possess a strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems, endpoint and server applications, cloud systems, and networking protocols. Can demonstrate experience leading vulnerability remediation across both on-prem and cloud technologies, preferably supporting a healthcare environment. POSITION SUMMARY This position designs, develops, configures, implements, tunes, maintains solutions, resolve technical and business issues related to cybersecurity threat & vulnerability management, identity management, security operations center, forensics, and data protection. Cybersecurity Engineers work with Cybersecurity Architects to execute strategic cyber initiatives, evaluate security components of the network, applications and end-user devices, and provides guidance to ensure new systems meet regulatory and technical standards. Cybersecurity Engineers participate in root-cause analysis efforts to determine improvement opportunities when failures occur. Manage Cyber systems, ensures they are tuned, on the current release and manages appropriate change management across the IT organization and the business.
