Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
  • Active DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II (One of the Following): CCNA Security CySA+ GICSP GSEC Security+ CE SSCP CND CASP+ CE CCNP Security CISA CISSP (or Associate) GCED GCIH CCSP
  • Minimum of 5 years of full-time professional cybersecurity experience with demonstrated expertise in: STIG implementation on operating systems and applications. Performing vulnerability assessments using ACAS. Interpreting DoD cybersecurity policies, directives, and compliance requirements. Applying vendor security patches and remediating vulnerabilities on Linux and Windows platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Perform system hardening on DoD information systems in compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies.
  • Apply and validate Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to ensure secure configurations.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments using the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) tool.
  • Remediate findings by implementing vendor patches and security updates on Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Interpret and apply security management policy guidance and directives issued by DoD and Navy authorities.
  • Collaborate with senior cybersecurity staff to ensure Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance.
  • Maintain system documentation and assist in the preparation of artifacts for Authority to Operate (ATO) packages
