Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity/Computer Science/Engineering or related technical field
  • US government issued security clearance is required after day 1.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance .

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in cybersecurity, compliance, and risk management framework (RMF).
  • Experience with ACAS (Tenable).
  • Experience with security features and/or vulnerability of various operating systems as defined by NSA, NIST, DISA (STIGs) and USCYBERCOM.
  • Experience with network and system security administration, including operating system security configuration and account management best practices for MS Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Cisco Systems.
  • Experience with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) as described in NIST 800-37.
  • Familiar with Program Protection Plan (PPP) required by DoDI 5000.2 and DoDI 5200.39.
  • Security related Network (e.g. Cisco) and Operating System certification or training.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain compliance security related documentation (example: System Security Plans, Cybersecurity Reports, etc.)
  • Define cybersecurity requirements, design, and architecture artifacts, strategy, plans, and policies.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments, defining, negotiating, and executing Assessment and Authorization (A&A) events.
  • Collaborate with program and engineering disciplines and ensuring cybersecurity solution alternatives.
  • Execute ACAS (Tenable) scans across classified and unclassified environments; analyze findings and validated remediation in accordance with NIST RMF requirements.
  • Develop and maintain NIST‑aligned vulnerability management processes, including ACAS scans, findings, reporting, and POA&M integration.
  • Define security controls of networking devices, operating systems, and hardware and software components.
  • Support travel as needed.
