About The Position

As a cybersecurity associate engineer, you'll work alongside experienced engineers and clients across industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, finance, utilities, government, outdoor recreation, and everything in between. You'll build expertise in current and emerging security technologies, developing your problem-solving skills as you tackle challenges that don't always have a documented answer. Your work will help protect sensitive patient data, safeguard financial transactions, and support the security of critical infrastructure. In this role, you'll contribute to client projects as part of a collaborative team, supporting efforts to strengthen their cybersecurity posture and keep their data secure. You'll gain hands-on experience across a range of work, from assisting with forensic investigations to participating in client workshops, guided by senior team members along the way. Requirements

Strong client-focused work ethic
Passion for technology
The ability to multitask and re-prioritize on the fly
A keen eye for detail and incremental improvements
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-action environment
Hands-on experience in a production environment with relevant technologies
Excellent consulting, communicating, and relationship-building skills
4-year college degree, or progress towards such a degree
A willingness to travel occasionally (2-3x/year)
Experience in an IT Ops role, such as helpdesk, system administrator, or network administrator

Responsibilities

Analyze and improve infrastructure and application cybersecurity, performance, and availability
Draft high-value, detailed documentation on everything from technology reviews and incident findings to application vulnerabilities and cybersecurity program plans
Assist with both application and infrastructure penetration testing
Conduct periodic system and network vulnerability scans using tools such as Nessus, Nmap, and Wireshark
Investigate suspected cybersecurity breaches and run forensic investigations
Build relationships with existing clients and obtain new clients of your own, leading complete sales cycles, including proposal writing and closing the deal!
