About The Position

FormativGroup is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Architect for a consulting assignment to strengthen cybersecurity across a manufacturing environment. The role designs and develops security architectures, standards, and risk mitigation approaches for corporate infrastructure, industrial control systems (ICS), and operational technology (OT). It addresses network and cloud security while accounting for production uptime, connected devices, industrial networks, and supply chain exposure. The architect works with IT, OT, infrastructure, engineering, and business stakeholders to identify vulnerabilities, define controls, and align security practices with applicable standards and regulatory requirements. The position takes a practical, risk-based approach that balances cybersecurity controls with production uptime and operational reliability. It translates security risks into actionable architectural decisions and communicates standards, priorities, and recommendations clearly. The role is remote in the United States; St. Louis, Austin, or New York City are preferred. It is not open to travel, but requires being onsite during the first week and intermittently. Applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer; visa sponsorship is unavailable. The estimated hourly compensation range is $95–$105. Employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commissions, or other incentive programs, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.

  • Ability to collaborate across IT, OT, engineering, infrastructure, and business stakeholders.
  • Experience developing security standards, identifying vulnerabilities, managing risk, and addressing applicable security or regulatory requirements.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; the employer cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa.
  • Must be able to work remotely in the United States and go onsite during the first week and intermittently.
