Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Cybersecurity / Anti Tamper Threat and Design Modeling – NG Fellow 1 reporting to the Airworthiness & Weapon Systems Cybersecurity (AWWSC) Directorate. This position can be worked out of El Segundo, Redondo Beach, Palmdale, San Diego, CA, Oklahoma City, OK, or Melbourne, FL. This position requires on site work and no remote or hybrid work is available. This position supports all Aeronautics Systems products at the system level, focusing on advanced aircraft systems comprised of multiple hardware/software subsystems. The role will collaborate across programs and sites with engineering, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and anti-tamper (AT) teams to define and institutionalize sector wide approaches to cyber and AT threat and design modeling in a digital engineering ecosystem. The AWWSC directorate is positioned to drive robust and efficient system development activities within the Aeronautics Systems Engineering organization by equipping our teams with the processes, tools, and technical training needed to succeed and grow. Leaders within AWWSC are at the heart of our relentless pursuit of engineering excellence, driving sustained improvement and ensuring that our technical capabilities stay ahead of emerging challenges and opportunities in the cyber and anti tamper domain. The intent is to bring in an industry level expert (externally or from within NG) who will focus on advancing our security analysis capabilities in our system models and shaping NG Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) to be the industry leader in cyber and anti tamper threat analysis across our portfolio of systems. This key technical leadership role is responsible for providing technical leadership across the execution of multiple programs as well as discipline focused initiatives in digital engineering based cybersecurity and AT modeling and analysis. This is not a remote role; the selected candidate will be based at one of these Aeronautics Systems sites, while providing support across the broader NGAS portfolio. The NG Fellow 1 will leverage their deep technical expertise and serve as a subject matter expert and focal in cyber and AT threat and design modeling for the Aeronautics Systems sector, the corporation, and the broader industry. This leader will collaborate closely with AWWSC leadership and technical staff, other Center of Technical Excellence discipline leaders, division and program leaders, and leaders from partner organizations within Engineering, Strategy and Business Development, Cybersecurity, and other Sector and Enterprise organizations to establish advanced tools and processes that elevate NGAS to a position of unparalleled technical leadership. The Cyber / Anti Tamper Threat and Design Modeling NG Fellow 1 will provide vision and leadership in the conduct of complex analytical, developmental, design, and demonstration assignments related to modeling cybersecurity and anti tamper vulnerabilities and protections at the system level within a model based digital engineering environment.
