About The Position

The Cybersecurity Analyst assists with the deployment, management, and maintenance of security systems, and their corresponding or associated software across the organization's various information systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 3 years working with Information Technology and/or Operational Technology systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
  • Ability to create and document SOPs that include daily activities and best practices.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all matters.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing, in person, over the phone, and video.
  • Advanced proficiency with network scanning and vulnerability assessment tools.
  • Advanced ability to propose and execute corrective measures in response to detected network and system vulnerabilities and anomalies.
  • Advanced ability to analyze and respond to security events effectively.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products, applications, and analysis.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Demonstrated advanced understanding of Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory, and TCP/IP networks.
  • Demonstrated advanced understanding of Department of Defense cybersecurity standards.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Cloud products, e.g. Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft Entra.
  • Demonstrated intermediate knowledge of cybersecurity regulations, frameworks, and standards.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification within 180 Days Required or ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity within 180 Days Required or GIAC Information Security Fundamentals (GISF) within 180 Days Required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform security assessments on all Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) systems.
  • Provide baseline and security reports to IT and OT stakeholders, as needed.
  • Perform and report the results of system audits, in alignment with prescribed security standards.
  • Create, review, and edit system security procedures and documentation.
  • Assist with IT and OT information security design and integration.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure adherence to system security requirements.
  • Plan, develop, and execute automated and manual tests to validate security postures and controls.
  • Review, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity alerts within the environment.
  • Proactively monitor the environment to detect and implement cyber-attack mitigation before a breach occurs.
  • Review real-time and historical reports for cybersecurity and/or compliance violations.
  • Deliver cybersecurity awareness training to staff on effective practices for safeguarding information.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional customer support and ensure a consistent high-quality experience for all stakeholders.
  • Learn, adopt, and apply safety programs.
