About The Position

The Cybersecurity Analyst assists with the deployment, management, and maintenance of security systems, and their corresponding or associated software across the organization's various information systems.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
3 years working with Information Technology and/or Operational Technology systems.
Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
Ability to create and document SOPs that include daily activities and best practices.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all matters.
Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
Ability to effectively communicate in writing, in person, over the phone, and video.
Advanced proficiency with network scanning and vulnerability assessment tools.
Advanced ability to propose and execute corrective measures in response to detected network and system vulnerabilities and anomalies.
Advanced ability to analyze and respond to security events effectively.
Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrated advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products, applications, and analysis.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Demonstrated advanced understanding of Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory, and TCP/IP networks.
Demonstrated advanced understanding of Department of Defense cybersecurity standards.
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Cloud products, e.g. Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft Entra.
Demonstrated intermediate knowledge of cybersecurity regulations, frameworks, and standards.
Excellent time management skills.
Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
CompTIA Security+ Certification within 180 Days Required or ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity within 180 Days Required or GIAC Information Security Fundamentals (GISF) within 180 Days Required.

Responsibilities

Perform security assessments on all Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) systems.
Provide baseline and security reports to IT and OT stakeholders, as needed.
Perform and report the results of system audits, in alignment with prescribed security standards.
Create, review, and edit system security procedures and documentation.
Assist with IT and OT information security design and integration.
Work with stakeholders to ensure adherence to system security requirements.
Plan, develop, and execute automated and manual tests to validate security postures and controls.
Review, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity alerts within the environment.
Proactively monitor the environment to detect and implement cyber-attack mitigation before a breach occurs.
Review real-time and historical reports for cybersecurity and/or compliance violations.
Deliver cybersecurity awareness training to staff on effective practices for safeguarding information.
Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional customer support and ensure a consistent high-quality experience for all stakeholders.
Learn, adopt, and apply safety programs.
