About The Position

As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play an essential role within our Information Technology, reporting to the Director, IT. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Analyzing security incidents and monitoring for related events and incidents as appropriate; Participating in security investigations and compliance reviews, as required; Developing and validating baseline security configurations for operating systems, applications, networking, and telecommunications equipment; Conducting risk assessments for new technology to identify potential security vulnerabilities and developing mitigation strategies to address these risks; Contribute to the strategy development and to the planning to enforce security requirements and address identified risks; and Overseeing the vulnerability management process, as required.

Requirements

  • Completion of a two-year post-secondary diploma specializing in computer engineering or cybersecurity.
  • Minimum of three years’ related experience including:
  • Working directly in the cybersecurity capacity
  • Relating business needs to security controls
  • Developing and documenting security architecture and plans, including strategic, tactical, and project plans
  • Detecting breaches by connecting seemingly unrelated cyber events.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Knowledge of common security management frameworks and standards such as: ISO 2700x, ITIL, COBIT, and NIST
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts, end-point protection, and hybrid cloud architectures
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and the associated network protocols and concepts
