About The Position

As a growing Department of Defense Contractor, AUSGAR Technologies has an exciting NEW opportunity for a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team of smart and innovative technical team members in the Old Town area of San Diego. Serve as a Cybersecurity Analyst for the program throughout the stages of system engineering, deployment and sustainment. This will include successfully executing Risk Management Framework (RMF) process through all phases of RMF process. Tasking includes categorization of the system, development of System Security Plan (SSP), development of Security Assessment Plan (SAP), documentation of NIST 800-53 Security Control implementation, development of Security Program Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms). Work with all program ISSMs and external stakeholders. Help identify Cybersecurity vulnerabilities and compliance issues. Work with the program to incorporate findings into the system POA&M. Work with the ISSM to answer data calls and TASKORDS/OPORDS. Provide status updates to the ISSM for RMF authorization status for various RMF packages. Track and identify cybersecurity risks and report to ISSM, cyber leads and engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • DoD 8140.03 IAT II certification required.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline from an accredited university and five years plus in the cybersecurity field required or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Must have DoD RMF experience in the ISSE role in eMASS to include developing/updating RMF System SSPs, documenting NIST 800-53 Security control implementations, development of Security SAPs, development of Security POA&Ms, development of Risk Assessment Reports (RARs).
  • Must have experience using eMASS.
  • Must have experience reviewing DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)/ Security Requirements Guide (SRGs), Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) results.
  • A good knowledge of DoD Cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Employ strong written and verbal communication skills to advise various levels of technology stakeholders, program initiatives and accrediting authorities on security requirements and cybersecurity trends and solutions, to include risk assessments and mitigations.
  • Must be able to work independently and be a self-starter.
  • Expected travel up to 10%.
  • This is a hybrid position. Approximately 60% onsite/40% remote.
  • An essential qualification for this position is successfully obtaining a security clearance issued by the Federal Government, which may require successful completion of a background check.
