About The Position

As a Cybersecurity Analyst at Impulse, you will help protect the systems, networks, data, and infrastructure that support our space missions and business operations. This is an opportunity for an early-career cybersecurity professional to work alongside experienced security and IT teams in a fast-paced aerospace environment. You will support day-to-day security operations, monitor and investigate potential threats, help maintain security controls, and contribute to efforts that strengthen Impulse Space's overall cybersecurity posture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles, networking, operating systems, and common security controls
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain a high standard of attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Nice To Haves

  • Internship, academic, lab, or hands-on experience in cybersecurity, IT, networking, or security operations
  • Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, identity and access management, or other security tools
  • Experience with security frameworks such as NIST or CIS
  • Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, or equivalent
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation using Python, PowerShell, or similar tools
  • Experience supporting compliance or security requirements in a regulated or government environment

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security alerts, logs, and systems for potential cybersecurity threats and assist with investigation and response
  • Support vulnerability management, security assessments, endpoint security, and network security activities
  • Assist with maintaining security policies, procedures, documentation, and compliance requirements
  • Help identify, document, and remediate security vulnerabilities across enterprise systems and infrastructure
  • Support user access management, security awareness, and other security operations.
  • Collaborate with IT, engineering, and other teams to implement and maintain effective security controls
  • Participate in incident response, risk assessments, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Stay current on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices
