About The Position

Cybersecurity Analyst needed for a 6-month contract role. This position is primarily remote with occasional onsite requirements in the Chicago area. There is a strong preference for candidates residing in the Chicago area. The role involves auditing and assisting with system configuration cleanup, particularly service accounts in MS systems. The analyst will also contribute to policy updates and reconciliation, build audit schedules, perform data analysis, and participate in 3rd party security assessments.

Requirements

• Strong experience in finding issues, especially in MS M365/AD environments (technical savvy).
• Ability to propose changes and design a plan to safely make those changes.
• Ability to make changes once approved while coordinating with team members.
• Deep knowledge of best practices and policies.
• Experience with NIST and CIS CSAT.
• Familiarity with FortiEDR, FortiSIEM, and Fortinet firewalls.
• Excellent research and analysis skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work directly for any U.S. employer without working through a 3rd party/sponsor.
• Live in/near Northern Chicago area.
