About The Position

Providing support to the Combat Operations Division (COD) of the 616th Operations Center in execution of the 16th Air Force’s mission located in San Antonio, Texas. Understanding of high-level cybersecurity concepts. Acting as Command and Control (C2) liaison between 616 OC, higher headquarters, members of the intelligence community (IC), and the field. Applying knowledge and available toolsets to identify, isolate, and categorize cyber vulnerabilities and how they affect the Air Force. Providing analysis to government and military personnel on resolution of vulnerabilities that affect the network. Providing feedback to local commanders and higher headquarters and developing CONOPs, SOPs, and Playbooks pertaining to network security within the IC Terrain. Generating and disseminating after action documentation to the field, which is professional with minimal editing prior to distribution. Researching, analyzing, authoring, and briefing cybersecurity status and activity at a level to be presented to General Officers and Senior appointed government Officials.

Requirements

  • Understanding of high-level cybersecurity concepts
  • Knowledge of tactical and strategic cybersecurity concepts
  • Experience in military writing and graphics display tools
  • Ability to work in a team of diverse specialties
  • Cyber certification SEC+
  • Knowledge of Air Force Cyber capabilities and organization
  • At least 5-10 years of experience in a cyber-related capacity
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • U.S. Government Security Clearance at the TOP SECRET / SCI level

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working with service cyber-affiliated units
  • Military cyber courses and experience in related fields
  • CYSA+ Certification
  • BS degree in computer-related disciplines
  • Working knowledge of Joint and USAF doctrine, specifically defensive cyber operations
  • Experience in end point detection responses and scan tools
