About The Position

As a cyber professional, you know that understanding adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures is vital to producing the intel that enables the success of Department of War (DoW) mission owners. At Booz Allen, you can apply your skills to inform strategies and help mitigate the most pressing vulnerabilities. Here, you aren’t just deciphering reports. You’re telling the story to play a part in informing the DoW’s most far-reaching cybersecurity decisions. As a Cyber Threat Specialist on our team, you’ll be trusted to help customers solve problems using the latest software like Frontier AI models, Big Data Platforms, Maven, and MADSS. Using vulnerability risk assessments and threat monitoring, you’ll learn from multiple stakeholders to evaluate risk and make meaningful recommendations. You’ll provide key vulnerability insights and operational risk assessments. In this role, you’ll impact DoW by assessing critical mission systems for new and evolving threats.

Requirements

  • Experience conducting cyber vulnerability risk assessments
  • Experience applying cybersecurity analysis to warfighting mission domains
  • Experience delivering cybersecurity solutions aligned with Secretary of War, Joint Staff, Combatant Command, defense agency, and bi‑national operational priorities
  • Experience with operational mission planning, plan assessment, and mission thread development
  • Experience applying structured, repeatable, and verifiable analytic methods to assess Joint Force, OSW, defense agency, bi‑national, and Combatant Command missions
  • Ability to brief defense audiences, including senior military, civilian, and contractor stakeholders
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • DoDM 8140.03 Certification such as Security+ Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience solving issues across DOTMLPF areas, including doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership, personnel, facilities, or resources
  • Experience with multi‑domain systems and environments
  • Experience with DoW Artificial Intelligence models used to support analytic research
  • Experience in commercial or industry cybersecurity risk mitigation
  • Knowledge of non‑Joint Force clients and Joint Force, OSD, defense agency, or Combatant Command missions
  • Master’s degree in Cybersecurity
