About The Position

This position is contingent upon a future opening with Gunnison. The Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Lead will lead cyber threat intelligence operations supporting federal cybersecurity mission objectives. This role involves collecting, correlating, and analyzing intelligence from various sources, performing advanced analysis of threat actors, campaigns, infrastructure, and adversary tactics, and producing intelligence assessments to identify risks, vulnerabilities, and emerging threats. The Lead will also support incident response, threat hunting, and detection engineering teams with actionable intelligence, manage and fulfill intelligence requests within service level timelines, and develop intelligence execution plans aligned with organizational risk priorities. Additionally, the role requires correlating indicators of compromise and threat patterns, conducting proactive analysis to identify emerging threats, and producing tactical and strategic intelligence reports for both technical and executive audiences. The position also involves providing recommendations on risk posture adjustments, collaborating with detection and hunting teams, maintaining intelligence documentation, and presenting intelligence briefings. Mentorship and oversight of intelligence analysts are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience conducting in-depth analysis of cyber threats, including malware, phishing, and advanced attack vectors
  • At least 5 years of experience collecting and aggregating intelligence from OSINT, dark web sources, and commercial intelligence feeds
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate intelligence sources and identify actionable insights
  • At least 5 years of experience producing written reports, briefings, and presentations for executive stakeholders
  • Experience using threat intelligence platforms, SIEM tools, and malware analysis technologies
  • Certification required: GCTI or equivalent CTI certification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Responsibilities

  • Lead cyber threat intelligence operations supporting federal cybersecurity mission objectives
  • Collect, correlate, and analyze intelligence from internal and external sources
  • Perform advanced analysis of threat actors, campaigns, infrastructure, and adversary tactics
  • Produce intelligence assessments identifying risks, vulnerabilities, and emerging threats
  • Support incident response, threat hunting, and detection engineering teams with actionable intelligence
  • Manage and fulfill intelligence requests within established service level timelines
  • Develop and maintain intelligence execution plans aligned with organizational risk priorities
  • Correlate indicators of compromise and threat patterns to support operational decision-making
  • Conduct proactive analysis to identify emerging threats affecting systems and networks
  • Produce tactical and strategic intelligence reports for both technical and executive audiences
  • Provide recommendations on risk posture adjustments based on threat intelligence findings
  • Collaborate with detection and hunting teams to improve detection and monitoring capabilities
  • Maintain intelligence documentation, SOPs, and methodologies
  • Present intelligence briefings to stakeholders and leadership
  • Provide mentorship and oversight to intelligence analysts
