The LINKAGE Program, established in 2021 as part of the National Institute on Aging, plays a vital role in supporting funded research. The program offers a federated data enclave for analysis and data sharing, as well as technical assistance to help researchers connect with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) data and a variety of other federal and non-federal sources, including federally funded research data. By providing these resources at no cost, LINKAGE seeks to eliminate financial and time-related obstacles, enhancing access for qualified researchers. As a Cybersecurity Engineer for the LINKAGE Program, you will play a critical role in safeguarding a federated data enclave that supports funded research. In this position, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust multi-cloud security controls, adherence with Zero Trust Architecture aligned with Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Zero Trust Maturity Model principles, continuous monitoring (ConMon), and comprehensive logging solutions. Your duties include monitoring identity and dataflow, detecting anomalies, and ensuring compliance with CMS and FISMA standards. You will also contribute to preparing Authorization to Operate (ATO) evidence and lead remediation efforts to uphold secure platform operations.
