Cyber Threat Analyst

About The Position

Parsons is looking for a Cyber Threat Analyst with in-depth knowledge of Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) environments and proven experience interacting, implementing, and managing cross domain solutions in support of Department of War (DoW) and Intelligence Community (IC) missions. In this role you will be focused on conducting continuous research and anlysis on emerging threats and threat actor activity to identify and assess the capabilities and activities of cyber criminals and/ or foreign intelligence entities. You will work as part of a team that analyzes data and prioritizes vulnerabilities with the goal to prevent and eradicate threats to critical U.S. systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, information systems, or related field
  • Seven (7+) years’ experience working in the areas of information technology, information systems and data analysis.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with SIPRNet and cross domain solution technologies.
  • Ability to understand data in various formats to extract and enrich information to enhance its value.
  • Ability to analyze, correlate, and synthesize threat data from diverse sources.
  • Ability to work with development teams and articulate requirements/enhancements to capabilities and tools.
  • Experience with XKS creating general queries, fingerprinting, and identifying atypical events.
  • Experience with Elastic/Splunk or other Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
  • Understanding of data transfer protocols and procedures in alignment with DoW and IC standards including RMF, NIST, and ICD 503.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally with a team of cyber analysts, data integrators, and developers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph

Responsibilities

  • Conducting continuous research and analysis on emerging threats and threat actor activity to identify and assess the capabilities and activities of cyber criminals and/ or foreign intelligence entities.
  • Analyzing data and prioritizing vulnerabilities with the goal to prevent and eradicate threats to critical U.S. systems.
  • Documenting findings and creating detailed reports to ensure tradecraft is continually updated.
  • Presenting results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
