About The Position

We’re looking for an ambitious underwriting professional to join our growing CFC USA Cyber team. If you love solving complex problems, working closely with brokers, and want to deepen your expertise in one of the fastest‑moving areas of insurance, this is an exciting opportunity to make your mark. As an Underwriter, you’ll play a key part in managing and growing our US cyber portfolio. You’ll assess and underwrite low to mid‑complexity risks, apply sound judgement on submissions that fall outside automated processing, and help shape profitable growth across the region. You’ll work closely with our broker partners—answering underwriting queries, clarifying appetite, improving submission quality, and building strong relationships through calls, meetings, and training sessions. Over time, you’ll become deeply fluent in CFC’s cyber product, underwriting philosophy, and risk assessment approach, positioning you as a trusted adviser in the market. This is a hands‑on, collaborative role where your technical insight and broker engagement skills will directly influence the success of our cyber portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Assess cyber risk exposures across a wide range of industries
  • Underwrite new and renewal business within your delegated authority
  • Develop and negotiate pricing, terms, and coverage structures
  • Maintain accurate documentation and strong underwriting discipline
  • Build excellent relationships with brokers and deliver responsive support
  • Provide clear guidance on appetite, required info, and risk improvements
  • Participate in broker meetings, presentations, and training sessions
  • Ensure files meet internal quality, regulatory, and audit standards
  • Contribute to process improvements and adoption of new tools
  • Stay up‑to‑date on cyber threats, trends, and market developments
  • Support a collaborative, high‑performing team culture
