About The Position

We are hiring a Cyber Systems Engineer who will provide technical expertise to the Army’s Project Management Office (PMO), Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE), in Huntsville, AL. This role involves assisting and advising product offices on DoD RMF continuous monitoring requirements, determining security requirements using DoD Risk Management Framework, conducting system security and vulnerability analyses, and creating/maintaining eMASS packages. The position also includes verifying security systems using DoD approved technologies, maintaining security compliance, and reviewing DoD cyber architectures to ensure functionality and security.

Requirements

  • AS/AA and 4 years experience OR BS/BA with 2 years of experience, or 6 years of applicable experience with H.S. Diploma will be acceptable
  • Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset
  • Active Secret clearance required
  • Be able to work onsite from the customer facility on a regular basis
  • Experience with Army Risk Management Framework
  • Familiarity with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Guidelines

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIGS)
  • Experience with Assured Compliance and Assessment Solution (ACAS)
  • Experience with Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
  • Have experience in reverse engineering and the intelligence community

Responsibilities

  • Assist and advise product offices on DoD RMF continuous monitoring requirements.
  • Determine security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; researching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studying architecture/platform; assist PM ASE SME’s in identifying integration issues and preparing cost estimates.
  • Create, complete, and maintain documentation and artifacts in support of continuous monitoring activities.
  • Creation and maintenance of eMASS packages using vendor and organization provided information.
  • Verify security systems by using DoD approved technologies such as STIG/ACAS/Static Code Analysis.
  • Maintain security by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures; conducting incident response analyses; developing and conducting table-top exercises.
  • Review of DoD cyber architectures, systems, or system components for use within computing, network, and enclave environments.
  • Ensure that the architecture and design of development and operational systems are functional and secure. This includes designs for program of record systems and special purpose processing nodes with platform IT interconnectivity.
