About The Position

Watershed Security is a Veteran Owned Small Business with over 20 years’ Cybersecurity and Government Contracting experience. Watershed is looking for a Cyber Support Analyst to become part of the team to provide service support in the areas of cybersecurity operations, risk management and compliance. Specifically, support vulnerability management, cybersecurity site visits to assist Mariners with patching and scanning of systems and networks, mission-based risk assessments, and all elements of compliance inspections. The Individual will need to have an in-depth knowledge of Navy and Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity directives and directives and procedures.

Requirements

  • DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II or equivalent
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Information technology security experience
  • 2 years of experience in the information technology industry
  • Understanding of Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) and researching the IAVA/B/T occurrences
  • Knowledge of vulnerabilities and risks associated with Windows/Linux OS and components
  • Experience with vulnerability incident reporting
  • Ability to review and provide feedback on DoD cybersecurity documents, orders and instruction
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to carry out assignments with the ability to work independently and as part of a team on varying occasions
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools to include ACAS, HBSS, VRAM, eMASS, and STIG Viewer
  • Must comply with certification requirements identified in DoD 8570.01M for IAT Level II or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products to include Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Responsibilities

  • Provide service support in the areas of cybersecurity operations, risk management and compliance.
  • Support vulnerability management.
  • Conduct cybersecurity site visits to assist Mariners with patching and scanning of systems and networks.
  • Perform mission-based risk assessments.
  • Support all elements of compliance inspections.
  • Research IAVA/B/T occurrences within Windows operating systems, Linux operating systems and components.
  • Perform vulnerability incident reporting.
  • Perform patch testing of monthly patch releases.
  • Apply approved patches to network environments.
  • Perform remediation patching.
  • Review and provide feedback on DoD cybersecurity documents, orders and instructions.
  • Carry out assignments with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Work independently and as part of a team on varying occasions.
