About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Junior Level Cyber Software Engineer to support our Atlantis Program contract at the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC) facility in San Diego, CA. As the Sub contractor on the Atlantis task order, Peraton is responsible for supporting a Multi-level Security (MLS) Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) system providing situational tracking and management capabilities, full message processing tools, and a variety of analysis utilities, along with office, e-mail, chat, and web browsing applications. The role involves supporting current operations, planned growth, life cycle support, maintenance and sustainment, system administration support, upgrade and logistics support of the Joint Cross Domain Exchange (JCDX) system, which is networked and deployed globally in support of U.S. Sponsors.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in STEM related field with 2 years, 0 years with MS/MA, or 6 years of relevant experience in Software Development.
Basic experience with system installation/configuration and/or basic programming skills
Ability to obtain a SECRET Clearance and ability to go through the process of a final TS Security Clearance with SSBI and SCI access.
US Citizenship is required.
Proficient in Linux Operating systems and shell scripting
Strong Programming skills in C/C++, Golang, Python, and JAVA
Experience with Software development tools and practices (e.g., Gitlab, CI/CD)
Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.
