About The Position

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an experienced Principal / Senior Principal Cyber Software Engineer to join their team supporting a program in the Signals Intelligence Mission Solutions (SMS) Department. This position will be located at a Mission Systems Sector site in Chantilly, VA. As a Principal/Senior Principal Cyber Software Engineer, you will have the following responsibilities: Develop and deliver software to meet mission partner requirements. Develop both user and developer-level documentation. Participate in setting the team’s technical direction in alignment with operational requirements and the sponsor’s technical roadmap. Collaborate with the team to review and improve processes (development, test, governance, stakeholder interactions). Communicate project status, roadblocks, technical and process proposals to the team and stakeholders. Prioritize development efforts with mission partners. Define the complexity, scope, and resources needed to integrate new requirements.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with poly to be considered. TS/SCI with poly eligibility must be in place by the start date and must stay in place through employment.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with Bachelor’s in Science; 3 years’ experience with Masters; 1 years’ experience with PhD.
  • Proficient in C#.
  • Proficient in C.
  • Experience developing using .NET Framework on Windows.
  • Experience with PowerShell.
  • Experience developing software on Agile teams with a strong track record of delivering solutions.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle.
  • Strong creative problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to visualize and implement innovative solutions to problems.
  • Strong ability to collaborate and excel on a team.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience with Bachelor’s in Science; 6 years’ experience with Masters; 4 years’ experience with PhD.
  • Proficient in C/C++.
  • Experience with Powershell.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing software for embedded systems using C/C++.
  • Experience with reverse engineering tools such as Ida Pro or Ghidra.
  • Experience with x64 assembly language.
  • Experience with kernel-level software development.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, work item tracking, and project management.
