Cyber Security Systems Administrator
About The Position
The Defense Systems Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Cyber Security Systems Administrator to work in their Ridgecrest, Ca. office. This role supports the AEWTTR mission, providing engineering support for the design, modification, and maintenance of ground radar and associated devices for the Navy’s Aircrew Electronic Warfare (EW) training capability. The organization designs, manufactures, integrates, and provides depot level support for a wide variety of EW threat simulation systems that are part of the training infrastructure ensuring Navy Aircrews are effective. This position is responsible for supporting the AEWTTR Cyber effort, including STIGs, Scans, Patch Management, system configuration, and testing.
Requirements
- Typically requires high school diploma or equivalent and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience.
- Must have or be able to obtain within 90 days of hiring any Certification that qualifies under DOD 8140 IAT Level 1; such as CompTIA A+ or Network+.
- Active secret clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance. (U.S. Citizenship is required)
- Must have experience with Windows 10/11
- Must have experience with basic PC hardware assembly and troubleshooting
Nice To Haves
- Highly organized, demonstrating the ability to work independently at times due to a fast-paced and highly productive work environment.
- Experience with Ubuntu or other Linux systems desired.
- Experience with Tenable Nessus desired.
- Experience with SCAP or other STIG tools desired.
- Knowledge of Navy RMF process desired.
- Experience with outlook, teams, and excel.
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
Responsibilities
- Support the AEWTTR program Cyber efforts by working closely with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Perform monthly STIG and Scanning of a wide range of Information Technology devices, including Windows and Linux Based computers, network gear, embedded control devices, and other various computing hardware.
- Generate reports and test results for use in the Navy RMF process.
- Address technical issues/problems using internal best practice and thorough collaboration with colleagues.
- Develop solutions to technical problems that require depth of technical knowledge.
- Set objectives for own area to meet the objectives or goals of projects and assignments.
- May assist other professionals with tasks and assignments.
