About The Position

The Cybersecurity Specialist position's purpose is to protect the organization’s digital assets, networks, and data from cyberattacks, theft, or damage. Plan, design, and implement processes and procedures for compliance with NIST, CMMC, and corporate security policies.

Requirements

  • One to three years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience)
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Intermediate skills: Ability to navigate and use internet/intranet and other programs such as the MS Office package including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access, or Company-wide cross functional Enterprise Resource Planning software.
  • Must also be able to perform limited troubleshooting.
  • Basic Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

  • Develops policies, plans, and procedures for compliance with NIST 800-171 and CMMC 2.0.
  • Trains users, promotes security awareness.
  • Provides updates and reports to management and executive staff.
  • Makes recommendations for solutions, including hardware and software programs that can help mitigate risk.
  • Updates and test disaster recovery procedures.
  • Plans and implements security measures, in coordination with the IT Department, to protect computer systems, networks, and data from loss and service interruptions.
  • Analyzes and documents security risks, breaches, and other cyber security incidents and the damage they cause.
  • Oversee the Incident Response Plan and make changes as necessary.
  • Work on requests from corporate headquarters as it relates to security measures and controls.
  • Mitigates threats by gathering information and developing plans, and monitors networks for security breaches.
  • Work with Crowdstrike Falcon Complete and associated SIEM for security issues and breaches.
  • Work with other departments on customer security compliance requirements.
