About The Position

ECS is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist III to work in a SOC environment at its New Carrollton, Maryland or Memphis, Tennessee office. This position is contingent upon contract award. The specialist develops and implements cybersecurity solutions to protect systems and networks from potential threats; researches and pilots new cybersecurity technologies; and investigates issues with cybersecurity solutions. The role ensures solutions comply with organizational policies and guidelines, assists with configurations, validates secure complex systems, and tests security products and systems for weaknesses. The specialist works with stakeholders to translate security and business requirements into technical designs, develops engineering documentation and mitigations for security incidents and evolving threats, maintains cybersecurity standards and policies, and promotes cybersecurity awareness.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree.
At least 7 years of experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement cybersecurity solutions to protect systems and networks against potential threats.
Research and pilot new cybersecurity technologies.
Investigate cybersecurity solution issues.
Ensure cybersecurity solutions comply with organizational policies and guidelines.
