About The Position

The Cybersecurity Manager supports the organization’s cybersecurity strategy by translating security requirements into practical actions and improvements. This role focuses on assessing risks, coordinating the implementation of security controls across business and technology teams, and assisting in the development of security plans and roadmaps. It also works closely with technical teams, leadership, and audit partners to ensure alignment with established security policies and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in cyber engineering, cybersecurity, or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of work experience in Information Technology, OR 3 years of experience with a Master’s level education in a related field
  • 5+ years managing, coordinating, tracking projects using various Project Management tools
  • 2+ years in customer facing technical engagement roles, including service and solution delivery
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leadership and service owners on the execution of the Cyber Security strategy
  • Conduct and manage supplier security risk assessments from initiation to completion relating to identifying, assessing, measuring and monitoring information security risks to the business.
  • Understand the business workflows and engage with business leadership and teams to identify risks and business-aware mitigation strategies.
  • Generate risk assessment reports to support management action, escalation and risk acceptance processes resulting from risk assessments.
  • Partner with security incident response team to resolve and close the investigation of incidents with postmortem and remediation plans.
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to support consistent and secure operations across the organization.
  • Support and develop business-relevant metrics and key performance indicators supporting the measurement of Cyber security program maturity.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
