The Cyber Security Intern partners with Information Systems, Cyber Security, and business stakeholders to support efforts that protect the organization’s systems, data, and users from cyber threats. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, the intern will gain hands-on exposure to multiple cybersecurity domains while supporting day-to-day security operations, risk awareness initiatives, and documentation of controls and procedures. This role provides a broad, enterprise-level view of cybersecurity, balancing technical, operational, and governance perspectives. The intern will develop foundational IT and cybersecurity skills through structured learning, real-world activities, and a capstone project aligned to departmental priorities. Our Cyber Security Intern: Program Structure This role is part of a 10âweek, structured learning experience that provides handsâon exposure to enterprise IT and cybersecurity workflows and culminates in a capstone project delivered to IT and Senior Leadership. Program Goals Build foundational technical competencies across core IT and cybersecurity domains Strengthen analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and documentation skills Gain exposure to enterprise security tools, workflows, and best practices Develop professional communication and collaboration skills through mentorship Deliver a final project that adds measurable value to the organization Core Cybersecurity Exposure Areas Under supervision and mentorship, the intern will gain exposure across multiple cybersecurity domains, including: Technical Risk Management & Compliance Identity & Access Management (IAM) Incident Response & Security Operations Data Security & Information Protection Emerging Technologies in Cybersecurity, including AIâenabled security capabilities
