About The Position

This position supports the cybersecurity program at the U.S. Department of Energy Hanford Site in Richland, Washington. The Analyst detects, investigates, and responds to cybersecurity incidents across a FISMA Moderate IT enterprise and supporting industrial control system (ICS) and operational technology (OT) environments governed by DOE Order 205.1C and NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5. Working with increasing independence under senior analysts’ guidance, the Analyst handles assigned incidents from triage through closure, conducts host, memory, network, and cloud forensic analysis, and contributes to detection content, playbooks, and post-incident improvements. The position is intended for analysts with foundational DFIR experience who are ready to take ownership of moderately complex investigations. The Analyst must be able to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation and report on-site to the Hanford Site as needed during incident response. The position requires U.S. citizenship, residence within the United States, a pre-employment background check and drug screening, REAL ID-compliant identification at hire, and the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE HSPD-12 PIV credential following a successful federal background investigation. Work cannot be performed from outside the United States. The listed pay range is $80,000 to $129,000. Eligible employees receive paid holidays, paid time off, a 401(k) with employer match, dental, vision, health insurance through the Federal Employee Health Benefits program, and life and disability benefits.
