About The Position

Credence has an immediate opening for a B-2 Cyber Security Engineering at the principal level to support the B-2 Division who is responsible for the modernization, test, production, fielding and sustainment of B-2 aircraft and related systems. The B-2 is a high demand, low density fleet that is 20+ years old, is undergoing numerous concurrent acquisitions to solve obsolescence issues, and delivers critical aerial denial/anti-access and nuclear capabilities at Wright Patterson AFB, OH.

Requirements

  • Must have an active or current Top-Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) eligibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree in professional engineering, mathematics, or a science discipline related to cybersecurity engineering.
  • A minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience and an ABET accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • ABET accredited Master’s or Doctoral Degree in a related engineering field and a minimum of 20 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, at least 12 of which must be in the DoD
  • OR ABET accredited bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field and a minimum of 25 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, at least 15 years of which must be in the DoD.
  • Must meet all prerequisites necessary for the Government to grant a DoDI 8570 baseline certification commensurate with the position description and assigned responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Perform all senior-level engineering support tasks applicable to B-2 engineering support personnel.
  • Provide information assurance (IA) and technical expertise for information systems, systems engineering, support equipment, legacy operating systems, laboratory equipment, and avionics systems and subsystems supporting B-2 modernization and sustainment programs.
  • Serve as the IA security official responsible for coordinating and obtaining security approval for sanitization and secure-handling procedures for avionics line-replaceable units and support equipment driven by sustainment and modification programs.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of computer and electronic systems, including Windows and UNIX-based operating systems, avionics, and test-equipment hardware.
  • Advise and assist with implementation of DoDI 5205.11; DoDM 5205.07, Volumes 1–4; and JSIG regulations for SAP IA oversight and management of computer and avionics equipment.
  • Assist with IA security oversight and approval of modernization-program equipment tied to software integration, operations, and implementation schedules for new warfighter capabilities that affect aircraft availability.
  • Support development and approval processes for Program Protection Plans, anti-tamper plans, Authorization to Operate requests, milestone decisions, and design-review documentation.
  • Support the initiation, supervision, and development of requirements from project inception through conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs.
  • Provide strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to program and project staff.
  • Provide detailed analyses, evaluations, and recommendations for improvements, optimization, development, and maintenance efforts addressing client-specific or mission-critical challenges.
  • Consult with the Government to define needs and problems; support studies; and assist in leading surveys to collect and analyze data, provide advice, and recommend solutions.
  • Apply DoD, Air Force, and common engineering and scientific principles, processes, and procedures to improve the performance and sustainability of existing and future Air Force and joint-service weapon systems.
  • Translate AFGSC and ACC requirements into weapon-system requirements used to design, develop, fabricate, test, evaluate, field, and deploy weapon systems, subsystems, and equipment.
  • Develop requirements and technology needs into action plans and policies supporting manufacturing, operations, remanufacturing, and demilitarization or disposal of USAF weapon-system capabilities.
  • Conduct technical and mission analyses of operational requirements, develop system concepts, perform technology and trade-off assessments, and support materiel-solution analyses and design reviews.
  • Provide rapid response engineering support through problem identification, impact assessment, and development of corrective actions for critical supportability issues.
  • Develop draft documentation and presentation materials based on program cost, schedule, and performance constraints.
  • Produce or review technical evaluations and plans; engineering studies, reports, and analyses; acquisition strategies and plans; requirements and system documents; requests for proposal; systems engineering, reliability, safety, cybersecurity, test, data-management, and program-protection documentation; Security Authorization Package documentation; System Security Profiles; Plans of Action and Milestones; Security Assessment Plans; and other required program, technical, and contractor-produced artifacts.
  • Develop and collect technical data and input for staff summary packages and executive briefings supporting coordination, signature, and milestone approval.
  • Support project-team meetings, working groups, and reviews, including SRR, System Functional Review, PDR, CDR, Incremental Design Review, TRR, System Verification Review, TCM, TIMs, FCA, PCA, PRR, and PMR.
  • Analyze equipment and software deficiencies; recommend corrections; and develop, integrate, and test deficiency solutions.
  • Assist with engineering evaluations of prime- and subcontractor recommendations for operational and support issues, including ACSNs, ECPs, CCPs, FAA bulletins, modification proposals, DMSMS, program risk, and related documents; serve in an advisory role for engineering-related source selections as required.
  • Support development and evaluation of the Integrated Master Plan, Integrated Master Schedule, Systems Engineering Detail Schedule, and engineering cost estimates.
  • Support the system-safety engineering program, including mishap-risk assessments, evaluations of contractor safety proposals and analyses, and resolution of high-priority safety issues.
  • Support disciplined engineering activities that assure Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E); follow applicable life-cycle systems engineering and OSS&E policies; establish and maintain compliant processes; update baseline documentation; identify OSS&E elements; report metrics; and coordinate with partner organizations.
  • Assess implementation of the Systems Engineering Plan throughout program operations and notify the Air Force of shortfalls or gaps requiring corrective action.
  • Apply MIL-HDBK-516C Airworthiness Certification Criteria to aircraft systems and subsystems; support Air Force Integrity Programs; maintain and update the critical-safety-item list; and monitor airworthiness certification for B-2 aircraft.
  • Support establishment of Hardness Maintenance and Hardness Surveillance in accordance with Defense Nuclear Agency-H-93-140 and implementation of design concepts in Air Force Pamphlet 91-118.
