Cyber Security Engineer (Expert)
About The Position
Expert Cyber Security Engineers capture and refine information security requirements and ensure those requirements are integrated into information technology component products and information systems through security architecting, design, development, and configuration. The role assists with leading teams that design, develop, or upgrade information systems; researches products and supports Analysis of Alternative activities to identify suitable security solutions; and helps develop system concepts and translate technology and environmental conditions, including laws and regulations, into security designs and processes. The position also assists with developing and documenting security architectures, roadmaps, and investments, and oversees contractor Cyber Security Engineers at senior, mid, and junior levels.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM degree program, or equivalent Expert-level work experience as a Cyber Security Engineer.
- Expert working experience in government or industry within Cyber Security Engineering.
- Compliance with DoD 8570 Level II (IASAE) certification requirements.

- Expert working experience in government or industry leading enterprise-level cybersecurity efforts involving architecting, designing, developing, and configuring cloud-based and on-premise systems and software.
- Experience engineering cybersecurity solutions using cloud-based technologies.
- Experience engineering cybersecurity solutions using structured and unstructured Big Data.
- Experience engineering cybersecurity solutions using Automation, Augmentation, and Artificial Intelligence technologies.
Responsibilities
- Assist with leading development teams designing and developing information systems or upgrading legacy systems.
- Conduct product research and support Analysis of Alternative activities to independently identify appropriate security solutions.
- Assist with leading development of system concepts and contribute to the capability phase of the systems development lifecycle.
- Translate technology and environmental conditions, including laws and regulations, into system security designs and processes.
- Assist with leading the development and documentation of Security Architectures, Roadmaps, and investments.
- Oversee the work of Senior-, Mid-, and Junior-level contractor Cyber Security Engineers.
