About The Position

Worldpay is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer Specialist to join its global security function. This role is crucial for safeguarding Worldpay’s digital assets and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information within one of the biggest names in payments. The specialist will contribute to establishing and maturing security capabilities, conducting threat assessments, mitigating security issues, and collaborating with business partners to enable agile and secure solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
• 4-6 years of professional experience in a technical IT security role, such as security operations or engineering.
• Experience with using, configuring changes and cloud, network, endpoint, data security tools.
• Strong analytical skills including solving and communicating complex problems, data analytics, measurement and reporting needed to drive continuous improvement.
• Strong understanding and knowledge of cyber security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK/D3FEND, ISO27001, NIST 800.53/CSF, etc.
• Proficiency in multiple information security domains
• Ability to function in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial agile environment.

Nice To Haves

• CISSP, CISM, CISA or other relevant security certifications
• Experience working within security operational roles in engineering or SOC
• Working experience scripting and APIs using Python, Powershell or other languages
• Experience working on Linux systems

Responsibilities

• Conduct threat assessments for infrastructure and applications to ensure adequate technical and non-technical effective controls are in place
• Identify, mitigate, and drive remediation of security threats and issues
• Be a subject matter expert to assist in security investigations
• Continuously assess the security risk posture and compliance
• Contribute to projects and initiatives on the roadmap
• Collaborate with business partners to enable agile and secure solutions
• Mature security capabilities through continuous improvement and automation
• Enable knowledge sharing and collaborate with team members
• Stay abreast of new security technology, emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and security controls.
